Count Stock window

The Count Stock window is where you can adjust the quantities of your stock items so they match the actual quantities you have in stock.

The list in this window displays all stock items in your company file.

If you use multiple locations (AccountEdge Plus only)

Two views are available to you: Group by Item view and Group by Location view.

If you want to view all of your items, even those with zero quantities, click the Include Zero On-Hand Quantities option.

Field Descriptions

Group by... (AccountEdge Plus only)

This option is available only if you use multiple locations for your stock items.

Group by Item. Select this option if you want to display your items sorted by the Item No..

■

Group by Location. Select this option if you want to display your items sorted by the Location ID.

If you want to display information about a single item or about a selected group of items, enter or select an item in the adjacent field.

Include Zero On Hand Quantities option (AccountEdge Plus only)

This option is available only if you use multiple locations for your stock items. Select this option if you want to display items for which you have no on-hand quantity.

Item Number column

Displays the item number of listed items.

Item Name column

Displays the item name of listed items.

Location ID column (AccountEdge Plus only)

Displays only if you use multiple locations for your stock items.

This column displays all the locations by location ID, that you have set up in your company file. Items are listed under each location.

Location Name column (AccountEdge Plus only)

Displays only if you use multiple locations for your stock items.

This column displays the names of all locations.

This column displays the current on-hand quantities of each item.

Enter the number of items you have physically counted for this stock item.

Difference column

This column shows the difference between your Inventoried items and counted items, which is the total on-hand items minus the amount displayed in the Counted column.

Click to print the Stock Count Sheet. You can use this to record your stock count.

Click to begin the process of entering an adjustment to reconcile your Inventoried items and your counted items.

Click to close the window without saving your changes.
