Display To Do List When Starting AccountEdge

Mark this selection if you wish to view the To Do List immediately after you’ve opened your AccountEdge data file.

If you mark this selection, the To Do List window will appear when you start AccountEdge and open a data file, or when you choose Open from the File menu and select a data file.

If you don’t mark this selection, the Command Center window will appear when you open a data file.

Save Window Sizes and Locations

Mark this selection if you wish AccountEdge windows to open in the same on-screen location they were in when you last closed them.

Regardless of your selection here, alert messages and other dialog boxes will always appear in the center of your computer screen.

Show Currency Symbols in Windows

Mark this selection if you wish to display currency symbols next to amounts in windows throughout the AccountEdge system.

Select Items by Item Name, not Item Number

Mark this selection if you wish to select items by their descriptive names.

If you mark this selection, you can enter item names in the Sales window and Purchases window when you’re creating item invoices and item purchase orders. In addition, when you display a search list of items at any time, the items will be listed in alphabetical order.

If you don’t mark this selection, you can enter item numbers in the Sales window and Purchases window when you’re creating item invoices and purchase orders. Search lists of items will be listed in numerical order.

Select Cards by Card ID, Not Card Name

Mark this selection if you wish to select cards by their Card ID. You must enter Card IDs for every card in the Card Information window to have this option work effectively.

Use Easy-Fill When Selecting From a List

Mark this selection if you want MYOB AccountEdge to recognize the entry you’re making in a field and fill in the rest of the field automatically. This feature, known as Easy-Fill, allows you to do your work a little faster. Easy-Fill works for account number and card (customer number, vendor number, item number, employee number) fields only.

Use Expandable Data Entry Fields in Windows

Mark this selection if you want to view long descriptions for line items in the Sales, Purchases and other transaction entry windows throughout AccountEdge If this option is marked, selected fields in lists of line items will expand when you move the insertion point into them, and you'll be able to view all of your comments in this field as you write them.

If this selection isn't marked, these fields won't expand, and you'll be able to see only the first 30 to 60 characters of your entries. (You can use the insertion point to scroll through the fields if you want to see the part of each entry that's not currently displayed.)
