Fields in the Match Transaction window

Match Transaction window

Account
The account that you selected in the Bank Register window or Reconcile Accounts window and was consequently used in the Unmatched Statement Transactions window displays in this field.

Statement Transaction description
A description of the statement transaction that was selected in the Unmatched Statement Transactions window appears in the top portion of the window. The transaction information includes:

Type (withdrawal or deposit)

Date

Description

Amount

Uncleared Transactions columns
These columns display information about all of this account's uncleared transaction.

This information listed here was originally entered in the Spend Money, Receive Money, Pay Bills, Receive Payments, Bank Entry (for interest or service charges) or Bank Register window and includes:

Check #, ID #, or other information that was entered in either of those fields

Date of transaction

Information entered in the Memo field

Click the arrow to open the window where this transaction was originally entered.

Deposits column
This column displays the amount of a deposit transaction.

Withdrawals column
This column displays the amount of a withdrawal transaction.

Cancel button
Click this button to close this window.

Match button
Click this button to match the statement transaction identified in the Statement Transaction description with the highlighted transaction in the Uncleared Transactions list. This has two effects:

Marks the uncleared transaction as cleared in the Reconcile Accounts window.

Removes the statement transaction from the list of unmatched transactions in the Unmatched Statement Transactions window.

Note: If the transaction amounts in the statement and in the Reconcile Accounts window differ, but you determine they are the same transaction and choose to match them, the amount in the Reconcile Accounts window is used.
