Setting up your network software

Complete each of the following tasks to prepare each of your computers for use with AccountEdge.

Not all of these tasks need to be performed in a particular order, but you may find that it's easier to prepare your systems if you complete these steps in the order shown below.

  1. Checking and installing network protocols
  2. Installing MYOB AccountEdge and creating a company file
  3. Setting up file sharing and mapping network drives
  4. Optimizing AccountEdge to ensure it's running as fast as it can

Warning: Only advanced computer users should perform these tasks

Although we recommend that the designated system administrator in your office or an MYOB Certified Consultant handle the tasks of setting up your network software, you can attempt to perform these steps yourself. Keep in mind, however, that we strongly recommend that a certified network specialist perform these tasks.
