To delete an order with a payment applied to it

Purchases > Making purchases > Changing, deleting and reversing purchases > To delete an order with a payment applied to it

Use this procedure only if your transactions are changeable. See What are changeable and unchangeable transactions? for more information.

If you've already applied a payment to a purchase that you want to delete, you need to delete the payment before you delete the purchase.

The payment you want to delete should be displayed. If you need help doing this, see To find a purchase.

  1. Choose Delete Payment from the Edit menu.
  2. If more payments have been applied to the purchase, be sure to follow step 1 for each payment until all the payments have been deleted.
  3. When all payments applied to the purchase have been deleted, display the purchase you want to delete in the Purchases window.
  4. Choose Delete Purchase from the Edit menu.
