If the account you want to use doesn't appear in the Select from List window, you may not have added it to your Accounts List. To create a new account, see Creating accounts.
Before creating a new account, though, check to be sure that you're looking at the correct group of accounts. In MYOB AccountEdge, account numbers are given prefix numbers that identify their account type; asset accounts begin with 1, liability accounts begin with 2, and so on. (If you find AccountEdge's account numbers difficult to work with, you can view them by account name instead, if you like. To do this, open the Preferences window and in the Windows view mark the option labeled "Select and Display Account Name, Not Account Number.")
