The timer in the Enter Activity Slip window works much like a stop-watch. When you click the Start button, the timer begins tracking time for you in one-second increments. Click Stop to stop or pause the timer. To resume time tracking, click the Start button again. The Units field is updated automatically while the timer is running.

When you've finished the activity, click the Stop button, make whatever additional entries are needed in the Enter Activity Slip window and click the Record button.
