MYOB AccountEdge Version 3 now incorporates an enhanced report filters toolbar. Use the improved toolbar options to customize and select the data that will appear in most reports, as well as to select viewing and printing options. Along with providing additional filters for formulating and viewing reports, the enhanced toolbar provides date selection criteria for all applicable reports and a new Refresh button that you can use to update your report display. Other changes to the appearance and organization of specific reports are designed to make it easier to locate and read report information, and to create customized reports from the standard versions that are included in AccountEdge.
Using the new toolbar, you can now choose between two different kinds of report views for every report: Screen Report and Print Preview. While viewing a Screen Report, you can resize and even move the columns around as required to more easily read and organize your data. Any changes that you make to a report's organization will be saved automatically as a custom report that you can name and access later using the Custom selection in the Index to Reports.
Select the Print Preview feature from a new pop-up menu on the enhanced toolbar to preview your printed reports. When you select Print Preview, each report will display your company name and address and the report date. Enhancements to the Print Preview features now also permit you to print every column in a report, even if they do not fit on one page. Important changes to the fonts and spacing used to format your reports now also make it possible for you to print reports at 100-percent scaling (full-size) on a portrait-oriented sheet of paper.
Note: OS X users upgrading to AccountEdge Version 3
If you use OSX Version 10.1 or 10.2 and are upgrading to AccountEdge Version 3 from an earlier version of MYOB software, you will need to change your default printer fonts to take advantage of this feature. The new toolbar provides customized options for each report available in AccountEdge. You'll find that every standard report now provides specific, custom date filtering options. In addition to the other options available for all reports, the enhanced toolbar provides more advanced filtering and sorting options for many individual reports. You'll find special toolbar options for a wide variety of reports.
