Sales Register window - Returns & Credits view




Search By

Choose All Customers or Customer. If you choose Customer, a second field appears. Select the name of the customer whose sales you wish to view.

Date column

The date the sale was recorded in AccountEdge appears in this column.

Invoice # column

The invoice number that was assigned to the original invoice appears in this column.

Cust PO # column

The Customer PO # that you entered in the invoice appears in this column.

Customer column

The Customer name that you selected in the invoice appears in this column.

Amount column

The total amount due, including freight and tax, that was entered in the original invoice appears in this column.

The total of all amounts in this column appears below the column. (The total does not appear if you selected All Customers in the Search By field and the I Deal in Multiple Currencies preference in the System view of the Preferences window.)

Credit Amt column

The balance that you owe your customer appears in this column. As a credit, it displays as a negative amount.

Pay Refund button

Click this button to display the Settle Returns & Credits window and create a refund check to the customer.

Apply to Sale button

Click this button to display the Settle Returns & Credits window and apply the credit amount to the customer's open orders and invoices.

Note: If you assigned a category to the credit and to the applied invoice or order, the categories must match. If they don't or if either has no category, the sale does not appear in the list of sales in the Settle Returns & Credits window. Use the Sales Register window to find the invoice or order to which you will apply the credit. Then assign a category to one of the transactions so they do match.

Print button

Click this button to print the Sales Register [Returns & Credits] report.

New Sale button

Click this button to display the Sales window.

Close button

Click this button to close this window.
