To change the payroll tax linked account (Easy Setup Assistant)

Please note that this task requires single-user access. (Single-user file locking)

Warning:  Changing payroll categories affects all employees assigned those categories

  1. In the scrolling list, click on the name of the tax you want to change. Then click Edit Tax to open the Tax Table Information window.


  2. Click the button next to the account to open the Select from List window.


  3. Select the account you wish to link to this tax.


The Linked Payables Account field is the only field you can change in this window. If you wish to use a different account to track the tax, change the account that's displayed in this field. (This account is usually a liability account.)

If the account you wish to link to this tax doesn't appear in the list, you can create a new one by clicking the New button or the Easy Add button.

  1. The date in the Tax Table Revision Date field indicates how old your tax tables are. See www.myob.com/us/service/techsupport/support_plans.htm to learn more about updating your payroll taxes.


  2. Click the Use Account button.


  3. Click OK when you're satisfied with the account that's displayed.
