To choose a sales layout

Sales > Making sales > Entering sales > Choosing the sale you want >>

The Sales window should be displayed (To find the Sales window), and a customer should already be selected.

The layout displayed in the Sales window is determined by the default setting on the customer's card.

  1. Click the Layout button to display the Select Layout window.


  2. Choose one of the following options:


Service - This layout can be used for services and goods that haven't been added to your Items List.

Item - This layout is used for items that you've added to your Items List. (These may be inventoried or non-inventoried items, as well as services.)

Professional - This layout is similar to the Service layout, but it allows you to specify a date for each line item.

Time Billing - This layout is used in conjunction with AccountEdge's Time Billing command center, and provides a more comprehensive means for billing for professional activities and other time-based services. Depending upon the choices you've made in the Preferences window, you also may enter items using this layout.

Miscellaneous - This layout generally is used for quick transactions that involve no items and require no printed documentation.

  1. Click OK to return to the Sales window.
