Tab-Delimited Text File: When you save a file in tab-delimited format, the individual pieces of information in the file are separated by tab characters. Comma-Separated Text File: When you save a file in comma-separated format, the individual pieces of information in the file are separated by commas. For example, if the last name Jones and the address 300 Roundhill Drive appears in a file, a comma will appear between Jones and 300 Roundhill Drive in the file. (Individual pieces of information that actually contain commas are surrounded by quotation marks.)

HTML Formatted Text File: When you save a file in HTML (HyperText Markup Language) format, the file can be viewed with World Wide Web browser software.
