The Credit Limit and Hold window allows you to set a credit limit for a selected customer. You can also place the customer on credit hold if, for example, the currently past due amount reaches a certain amount, even though the amount does not exceed the credit limit.
The current available credit and past due amounts are also displayed in this window.
If you select the preference If Credit Limit is Exceeded on Invoice, Warn and Continue or Prevent Unless Overridden in the Sales view of the Preferences window, you will receive an alert message when you enter an invoice if:
The credit hold message directs you to the Credit Limit and Hold window, where you can, if you like, remove the Credit Hold.
Note: If you've set up an override password.
When you're alerted to enter a password when recording a sale, you don't have to click in the Override Password field first; simply start to enter the password.
This window is available only to authorized users.
