You can't delete a card with transactions assigned to it

A card can be deleted if no transactions are assigned to it. You can review transactions assigned to a card using the Card view of the Find Transactions window.

Similarly, a card which has been used on a quote or order or has been used on a transaction that has been set as a recurring transaction can't be deleted.
