The Company Data Auditor checks your company file and reports on a variety of criteria

The Company Data Auditor provides a high level integrity check of the data contained in your MYOB company file. This provides you and your accountant with added assurance of the integrity of the data. There are three windows in the Assistant:

1. Company File Overview: Presents a compilation of basic information about your data file. This includes the file name, release number, physical location, size, last backup date, last verification date, the locked periods and the payroll tax date.

2. Account Reconciliation Review: Lists all the accounts that can be reconciled, that is, accounts with the type of Bank or Credit. From here, you can open the Reconcile Accounts window, where you can verify that the balances of your MYOB AccountEdge bank accounts match the balances on your bank's statements.

3. Data Exception Review: Checks all your transactions, for the selected date range, for each of the following. You can open a report that displays the details of each exception.

• Invoices that do not reconcile with your linked receivables account

• Purchases that do not reconcile with your linked payables account

• Item values that do not match with your linked inventory account

• Future dated transactions

• Prepaid transactions

• Audit trail changes

• Tax exceptions (Sales)

• Tax exceptions (Purchases)
