Allow the sale of items with insufficient on hand quantities [System-wide]
Mark this selection if you want to record transactions of inventoried items that would result in an item quantity and item total value of less than zero; that is, your item quantity and item value would be negative. (Transactions that would result in a negative quantity with a positive value or that would result in a negative value with a positive quantity are not allowed.)
Important:
Negative on-hand quantities can be adjusted by purchasing or building sufficient quantities of the item.
Once the adjusting transactions have been recorded, neither the transactions attached to the negative sale nor the adjusting transactions can be changed, reversed or deleted.

Use Standard Cost as the default price on purchase orders and bills [System-wide]
Mark this selection if you want the price that was entered in the Standard Cost field to appear automatically for items when you enter a purchase. You can change the price on the purchase, if you want.
The Standard Cost field is found in the Buying Details viewof the Item Information window.
If you don't mark this selection, the last purchase price of the item is automatically used. That price is the price that was recorded for the item the last time you purchased it. You can change the price on the purchase, if you want.
