Item Number

The item number you entered in the Profile view appears in this field.

Item Name

The item name you entered in the Profile view appears in this field.

Search

Enter the ID of a location you wish to find in the scrolling list. If you can't remember the entire location ID, enter as much of the ID as you can remember; the scrolling list will display the location whose ID most closely matches the ID you typed.

Location ID column

The ID of each location for the item; the ID was entered in the Location Information window.

Name column

The name of each location for the item; the name was entered in the Location Information window.

On Hand column

This column displays the current quantities of the item in each location. Quantities that you have on order from your vendors or your customers have on order with you do not affect your On Hand quantity.

Default Ship/Sell/Auto-Build From Location

Choose the location that will be displayed when you enter this item on a sales order or invoice. You can choose from a list of all of your active locations except those locations that you've marked "Items cannot be shipped or sold from this location." You can choose a different location on individual orders and invoices if you need to.

Default Receive/Auto-Build Into Location

Choose the location that will be displayed when you enter this item on a purchase order or bill. You can choose from a list of all of your active locations. You can choose a different location on individual purchase orders and bills if you need to.

On Hand Total

This field displays the item's total on-hand quantity in all of your locations. Quantities that you have on order from your vendors or your customers have on order with you do not affect your On Hand quantity. (This field is display-only.)

Move Items button

Click this button to open the Move Items window where you can move items between your locations. This item will be highlighted in the Move Items window.

New button

Click this button to begin creating a new item record.

OK button

Click this button to accept the entries you've made and close the window.
