To adjust an item's quantity and unit cost

 

The Adjust Inventory window should be displayed.

  1. Enter the number of the item you want to change in the Item Number column on the first blank line of the scrolling list.


  2. Enter the location of the item, if you use multiple locations.


  3. In the Quantity field, enter the quantity of the adjustment - not the new quantity of the item.


  4. When you entered the item number in step 1, the item's unit cost appeared automatically in the Unit Cost column. Change this amount to $0.00.


    Warning:  Don't make any changes to the Amount column
  1. Click Record. The item's quantity and unit cost will be adjusted in MYOB AccountEdge without affecting the item's total value.
