Enter recurring pay information in a new way

If you had set up recurring payroll information for your employees in your previous version of MYOB software, you must manually enter those recurring entries in AccountEdge 2006.

That is, the recurring payroll entries you created in your previous version of MYOB software won't be upgraded to AccountEdge 2006; they will no longer be listed in the To Do List -- Recurring Transactions window after you upgrade.

To be sure that your payroll transactions contain the amounts (or job numbers) you want to assign to your employees, compare the amounts in the Recurring Pay window of AccountEdge 2006 with the amounts that were used on the recurring payroll transactions in your company file before it was upgraded to AccountEdge 2006.

Make changes in the Recurring Pay window until the amounts are the amounts you want. When you make a change, the value you enter will then be used for all subsequent employee payments until another change is made or you return to the default Recurring Pay amounts. You can now enter recurring pay information using the Card Information window - Payroll Details view - Recurring Pay for an employee.

By their nature, employee payments are recurring payments. After you've set up the payroll details for an employee, you can, though, override the entries for some of the payroll categories you made for an employee and make those entries recurring entries.

After you've set up the payroll details for an employee, you can override the entries or enter amounts for some of the payroll categories you made for an employee.

A change you make the Recurring Pay window does not change the entries in any of the other Payroll Details windows, but the change you make is used in all subsequent payroll transactions for the employee. The change will stay in effect until you return to those default entries by clicking the Reset to Original Amounts button or changing them manually.
