Choose an Account window

QIF Account or QIF Category

This field displays the name of a QIF account associated with a transaction that doesn't match any accounts in your MYOB AccountEdge company file. To import your QIF transactions properly, you'll need to enter an account in the MYOB AccountEdge Account field to track the transactions associated with the account shown in this field. (If no Quicken account name is present, AccountEdge will name the account QIF Allocation Account or QIF Source Account. You can change the name later, if you want.)

The QIF Account field appears only the first time you see the Choose an Account window during the current import process. The next time you see the Choose an Account window, the QIF Category field will appear here instead.

MYOB AccountEdge Account

Enter the MYOB AccountEdge account that best matches the account displayed in the QIF Category field or QIF Account field. If you wish, you can click the search icon next to this field to open a search list of accounts to choose from.

If you don't match an account, AccountEdge will create one for you, using the name in the QIF Account/QIF Category field. If no Quicken account name is present, AccountEdge will name the account QIF Allocation Account or QIF Source Account. You can change the name later, if you want.

Cancel button

Click this button to close the Choose an Account window. The QIF import process will be canceled.

OK button

Click this button after you've entered the account you want to use in the MYOB AccountEdge Account field. (If you don't match an account, AccountEdge will create one for you, using the name in the QIF Account/QIF Category field. If no Quicken account name is present, AccountEdge will name the account QIF Allocation Account or QIF Source Account. You can change the name later, if you want.) The import process will continue.
