MYOB AccountEdge offers you the option of selecting accounts, items and cards by the name you've entered for them or by selecting the number (or the ID, for cards) you've assigned to them.

Select and Display Account Name, Not Account Number

Mark this selection if you wish to select accounts by their descriptive names; you will add accounts to transactions by selecting an account name. In addition, when you display a search list of accounts at any time, the accounts will be listed by name in alphabetical order.

If you don't mark this selection, you can enter account numbers on transactions by selecting an account number. Search lists of accounts will be listed in numerical order.

Select Items by Item Name, Not Item Number

Mark this selection if you wish to select items by their descriptive names; you will enter item names in the Sales window and Purchases window when you're creating item invoices and item purchase orders. In addition, when you display a search list of items at any time, the items will be listed in alphabetical order.

If you don't mark this selection, you can enter item numbers in the Sales window and Purchases window when you're creating item invoices and purchase orders. Search lists of items will be listed in numerical order.

Select Cards by Card ID, Not Card Name

Mark this selection if you wish to select cards by their Card ID. You must enter Card IDs for every card in your Cards List to have this option work effectively.

If you don't mark this selection, you can enter cards by selecting the card by name. Search lists of cards will be listed by name in alphabetical order.
