Serial Number
Enter the number that you find on the back of the envelope in which the MYOB AccountEdge CD was packaged. The serial number is also located on your registration card.
If you entered your serial number when you set up your company file using the Easy Setup Assistant, the number appears here automatically.
If you haven't yet activated your file, you can edit the number. When you activate your company file, the field becomes a display-only field.
Total Workstations Licensed
This field displays the number of workstations that are currently able to access this company file.
If you wish to increase the number of workstations that can access this company file, you can purchase a new workstation license number. For more information, visit the MYOB website or click the License button. (The License button is active only after you activate your company file.)
Company Name
Enter or change your company's name, using up to 40 characters.
The name that's entered in this field is displayed in all command center windows, and, if you wish, on your MYOB AccountEdge reports.
Address
Enter your company's address.
The address you enter here will be displayed on MYOB AccountEdge sales and purchases forms.
Phone Number
Enter your company's telephone number. Add hyphens and an extension, if you wish.
Fax Number
Enter your company's fax number. Add hyphens and an extension, if you wish.
Email address
Enter your company's email address.
Federal Tax ID
Enter or change your company's federal tax ID. If this is the first time you've opened the Company Information window and an entry already appears in this field, this number was entered in the MYOB AccountEdge New Company File Assistant.
State Sales Tax ID
Enter or change your company's sales tax ID. (This is the number assigned to your business by your state government's taxation authority.) If this is the first time you've opened the Company Information window and an entry already appears in this field, this number was entered in the MYOB AccountEdge New Company File Assistant.
Conversion Month
This field displays the month in which you started using MYOB AccountEdge to track your business. This entry was made when you created your company's file using the MYOB AccountEdge New Company File Assistant, and can't be changed.
Accounting Periods
This field displays the number of accounting periods you have in your current fiscal year. This entry was made when you created your company's file using the MYOB AccountEdge New Company File Assistant. You may be able to change the number of accounting periods per year during the Start a New Fiscal Year process. (If you have 12 accounting periods, you can change to 13 accounting periods when you start a new fiscal year. If you have 13 accounting periods, you may change to 12 only if no transactions were recorded in the 13th period of the fiscal year just completed.)
Current Fiscal Year
This field displays the name of your current fiscal year. This entry was made when you created your company's file using the MYOB AccountEdge New Company File Assistant and can't be changed.
Last Month in Fiscal Year
This field displays the last month of your current fiscal year. This entry was made when you created your company's file using the MYOB AccountEdge New Company File Assistant, and can't be changed.
License button
Click this button to open the Enable License window. Use the Enable License window to locate the number to call if you wish to order additional workstation licenses for use with MYOB AccountEdge. After a purchase of additional workstation licenses, you'll use the window to enable the additional licenses.
This button is active only after you activate your company file.
