To turn on category tracking

The System view of the Preferences window should be displayed. (To find the Preferences window - System view)

Note: This task requires single-user access. See Single-user file locking for more information.

  1. Mark the Turn Category Tracking On preference to display the Category field in all the MYOB AccountEdge transaction windows.


  2. Select Required or Not Required from the drop-down list. If you choose Required, you will not be able to record the transaction without assigned the transaction to a category.


Warning:  Turning off category tracking deletes all categories and their history
