Setup
To create a company file from the AccountEdge Welcome window
- Locate the MYOB AccountEdge 2007 icon on your computer.
The icon you're looking for is named AccountEdge Data (AccountEdge) or AccountEdge NE (Network Edition), and it's located in the folder that was created when you installed MYOB AccountEdge. If you chose all the suggested options during installation, your AccountEdge system will be installed in the AccountEdge (AccountEdge) or Applications/MYOB/AccountEdge 2006 NE (Network Edition) folder and will contain a number of icons.
- Once you've located the icon, click it.
- In the Welcome to MYOB AccountEdge window, click the Create new company file button.
- Follow the steps that appear on your computer screen. If you need more information about the answers you enter in the New Company File Assistant, click the Help button at the bottom of each window.
- When you've completed all the steps in the New Company File Assistant, your new company file will be created and you can start to set up your company's records.
Click the Setup Assistant button if you're ready to set up your company's records now. You can use the Easy Setup Assistant to walk you through the major setup tasks you need to perform.
Click Command Center if you want to set up your records at a later time.
