To assign an ID number to a transaction
- When you create a transaction, the transaction number field will display Auto # when that field is highlighted. This text indicates that the transaction will be automatically given a number when it's recorded in the company file.
- You can choose to:
- Leave Auto #. The assigned number will appear again when you leave this field.
--or --
- Delete Auto # and enter a new number for the transaction.
- Complete the remaining entries and selections for the transaction. When you're ready, click the Record button to record the transaction.
Note: What transaction ID number will be assigned to the next transaction?
