Company file concepts


The AccountEdge company file is an element (file) inside the computer that stores all the information that you've entered into AccountEdge. This includes basic company information, transactions, accounts, customer information and so on.

If you plan to take advantage of AccountEdge's multiuser capabilities, you can store your company file anywhere on your company's network where it can be accessed by all the workstations used to run AccountEdge.

AccountEdge Network Edition: The computer that stores the company file is known as the host computer, and your company file must be located in the Library/Application Support/AccountEdge 2004 NE/Databases folder on that computer.
