If you don't track sales using the Sales Command Center, you can redeem a gift certificate using the Receive Money window

If you don't track sales using the Sales Command Center, you can record the receipt of a gift certificate by entering a transaction using the Receive Money window:

1. Open the Receive Money window.



2. Select Deposit to Account and enter in the account field the liability account you created in step 1 for gift certificates.



3. Enter other details as needed.



4. In the Account column, enter the relevant income account (4-xxxx).



5. In the Amount column, enter the amount of the gift certificate.



6. Click Record.
