To create a purchase order using a sales order or quote (Sales window)

The Sales window should be displayed.

Note: This feature isn't available for Time Billing sales.

1. If you're creating a new sales order or quote: Create the sales order or quote as you usually do. (To sell items to a customer and To sell services to a customer)

If you've already recorded the sales order or quote: In the Customer field, enter the name of the customer whose order/quote you want to convert to a purchase order. Choose the order/quote from the list that appears.

2. Click the Create PO button. The line item(s) from the sales order/quote appear in the purchase order window.



3. Enter a vendor's name in the Vendor field.



4. Enter other details as needed to complete the purchase order.



5. Click Record.
