Making sales

In MYOB AccountEdge, sales are transactions that indicate that items or services were sold to a customer. There are five layouts for sales:

• Item sales track the sale of both inventoried and non-inventoried items.

• Service sales track the sale of services and other non-inventoried goods.

• Time billing invoices track the sale of activities in time-based increments and items that are marked I Sell (I Buy and I Inventory are optional).

• Professional sales track the sales of services and other non-inventoried goods, as well as the dates each individual service was sold.

• Miscellaneous sales track sales that don't require a printed invoice.

• Entering sales

• Entering sales (Bank Register)

• Processing credit card sales

• Entering time billing sales

• Printing invoices, packing slips and labels

• Emailing a report or a single form

• Emailing a batch of forms

• Printing and emailing invoice and activity statements

• Emailing customer statements

• Using recurring transactions

• Finding sales

• Reviewing your sales activity

• Changing, deleting and reversing sales

• Tracking work on retainer

• Handling a sale to a customer who has exceeded the credit limit
