When to use Reset Sync
The Reset Sync feature will reset the relationship between Address Book and your Cards List so that both the Address Book and your Cards List will contain the same cards and the same card details.
Note: If you click the Reset Sync button, the relationship between Address Book and your Cards List is reestablished. You will receive the Sync Alert so that you can register the service again. You must click Allow in the Sync Alert window to start the synchronization process.
If you click Don't Allow you won't be able to start the synchronization process until you click the Reset Sync button again and click Allow.
The Reset Sync feature can be used for these situations:
1. If, after syncing, you move any Address Book cards into your MYOB software company file groups in Address Book, the next time you sync, some card details on those cards won't be automatically imported into your AccountEdge Cards List. To synchronize the card details, click the Reset Sync button. You must click Allow in the Sync Alert window to start the synchronization process. (Deleted cards will also be returned; see #2 below.)
2. If, after deleting cards from either Address Book or your AccountEdge Cards List, you decide that you want to return the deleted cards so that both your Address Book and your AccountEdge Cards List match, click the Reset Sync button. You must click Allow in the Sync Alert window to start the synchronization process. Note: The MYOB Sync Cards feature doesn't remove deleted cards. (Card details from cards moved into your Address Book folders after syncing will also be added to AccountEdge; see #1 above.)
3. If you have clicked Don't Allow in the Macintosh OS alert message AccountEdge would like to sync Contacts with Address Book and other applications, you may not be able to sync cards. Clicking Reset Sync will allow you start the Sync Cards process again. You must click Allow in the Sync Alert window to start the synchronization process. (Card details from cards moved into your Address Book folders after syncing will also be added to AccountEdge; see #1 above. Deleted cards will also be returned; see #2 above.)
