An alert will appear if the available quantity of an item (the on-hand quantity plus the quantity recorded on purchase orders, less the quantity recorded on sales orders) falls below the minimum level you have set in the Buying Details view of the item’s record.
If you selected the I Buy This Item option in the item’s record, a zoom arrow appears in this column. Click the arrow to open the Purchases window, where you can create a purchase order for the item. If you have specified a primary vendor and a reorder quantity in the item’s record, these details will automatically be filled in for you in the purchase order.
If you want to record several purchase orders or build several items, click in this column next to the items you want to order or build. If you want to order or build all items in the list, click the icon at the top of the column.
Note that if you select an item that can be both purchased and built, no action will be taken for that item when you click Order/Build. You will need to click the zoom arrow in the Order or Build columns for that item to record a transaction.
If you want to print the To Do List—Items to Reorder or Build report, click Print.
