To change or move elements on a form
The Customize window for the form you want to modify must be displayed. [To customize a form for later use (Setup menu) or To customize a form before sending]
You may also want to display the layout grid so that you can precisely position elements in the layout. (To use the layout grid)
- To resize an element:
- Double-click on it. Several small squares -- called handles -- will appear around the border of the element.
- Click a handle and drag the mouse while pressing the mouse button.
- To move an element:
- Click on it. Then press the mouse button and drag the element to its new location.

Note: You may not be able to move certain columns without moving others
To undo the last change you made, click the Undo button in the toolbar of the Customize window.
- You can change any of these characteristics of any text field, data field or column:
- Border layout, color, width and style.
To change any of these characteristics, double-click in the field to display the Field Properties window (data and text fields) and select from the available options.
- To change the font, font size, style or color used in a text or data field, click the Text Format button in the Field Properties window (data and text fields); this opens the Text Format window.
- When your text formatting settings are correct, click OK to return to the Field Properties window.
- After you've made all of your changes in the Field Properties window, click OK to continue working in the Customize window.
- To change the size or appearance of a line, rectangle or picture, double-click it to display the Field Information window. After you've made your changes, click OK to return to the Customize window.
- When you've finished all your changes, save your custom form:
- Click Save Form to save the layout under its existing name.
- Click Save Form As to save the new layout under a new name.
- Click OK to return to the Customize window.
- Click OK to close the Customize window.
