If you attempt to fax a form or report from within FirstEdge, you will receive a message stating, "Faxing of reports and forms from FirstEdge is not available on Mac OS X.'
To fax from within FirstEdge using OS X, depending upon which version of Mac OS X you are using, you can either fax by using Mac OS X's built in faxing that you can access from the print dialog or by using FAXstf X which is bundled with some versions of Mac OS X.
If you have FAXstf X installed, you can fax documents by printing to your Apple Internal Modem. For more on faxing, see the FAXstf X User's Guide.
In Mac OS X, the default mail program will be set to Mail, unless you change the setting. Depending upon what version of Mac OS X and Mail you are using, you may need to be connected to the internet while emailing forms from within FirstEdge. If you are not connected to your ISP, no email will be sent and you will not receive an error message.
