To handle a sale when you are warned a customer is on credit hold
If an alert message appeared while you were entering a new sale informing you the customer is on credit hold, you have two options. (See Handling a sale to a customer who has been placed on credit hold to understand why the message appeared.)
- Cancel the sale because you do not have access to the Credit Limit and Hold window or you do not want to record the sale because of the credit limit status. Click the Cancel Sale button.
-- OR --
- Remove the Credit Hold and continue with the sale.
- Click the Remove Credit Hold button to open the Credit Limit and Hold window. (If you do not have access to this window, you will receive another message informing you of that.)
- Remove the mark from the Place this customer on Credit Hold field and click the OK button.
- Return to the Sales window, where you can resume entering the sale and record the sale.
