Card File Command Center

Buttons in this window:

Cards List button

The Cards button opens the Cards List window, where you can display a list of the people and companies with whom you do business. From this window, you can open the Card Information window, where you can create a new Card File record or edit an existing Card File record.

Mailing Labels button

The Mailing Labels button opens the Forms Selection - Print Mailing Labels window, where you can set up and print mailing labels for individual people or companies in the Card File.

Personalized Letters button

The Personalized Letters button opens the Forms Selection - Personalized Letters window, where you can create a mail merge file containing information about individual people or companies in the Card File, for the purpose of creating letters customized with each person’s or company’s name.

Identifiers button

The Identifiers button opens the Identifiers window, where you can enter descriptions for the identifiers you use throughout the Accounting Plus system. For each letter of the alphabet, you can enter a line of text that can be used to group people or companies that exist in your Card File.

Contact Log button

The Contact Log button opens the View Contact Log window, where you can display a summary list of all contacts made to a specific person or company in the Card File. You can also open the Contact Log Entry window using this window, where you can access more detailed information about the individual contacts you’ve made.

Custom Lists button

The Custom Lists buttonopens the Custom Lists window, where you can create, change or delete entries in any one of three custom lists for each Custom List view.

 
Other Fields Available in All Command Centers
To Do List

Use the To Do List field to open the To Do List window, where you can view the business tasks that affect your company on a regular basis. You can also use the To Do List to automatically act upon the tasks you need to perform, such as creating purchases for items whose quantities are low. Click the arrow next to this field to display a list of all the tasks associated with the To Do List, then choose the task you want, or click the list icon in this field to display the task for the command center currently displayed.

Inquiry Registers

Use the Inquiry Registers field to open the Inquiry Register window, where you can view summary information about each of your company’s accounts, sales, purchases, cards, jobs and payroll information. This window also allows you to zoom to the windows in which the individual items were entered.

Click the arrow next to this field to display a list of all the inquiry registers available with Accounting Plus, then choose the register you want, or click the magnifying glass icon in this field to display the register for the command center currently displayed.

MYOB Analyst

Use the MYOB Analyst field to open windows that allow you to analyze a number of key aspects of your business. For example, you can analyze sales and profitability trends, estimate short-term cash needs and chart your progress on jobs. You also can see which accounts in your chart of accounts have the highest balances, which customers owe you money, and other information that can help you to make informed business decisions. Many Analyze windows allow you to view your company's information in table form or in graphical form, as pie charts or bar graphs.

Click the arrow next to the MYOB Analyst field to display a list of all the areas that can be analyzed, then choose the area you want, or click the analyst icon in this field to display an Analyze window for the command center currently displayed.

Reports

Use the Reports field to open the Index to Reports window. You can use this window to print virtually all of the reports available with MYOB Accounting Plus; you also can display these reports on your computer screen if you like. Using selections in the Index to Reports window, you can customize your reports or export them to Microsoft Excel if you've chosen to install the MYOB Accounting Plus OfficeLink feature.

Click the arrow next to this field to display a list of all the tabs in the Index to Reports window, then choose the tab for the command center whose reports you want to view, or click the report icon in this field to display the tab for the command center currently displayed.

Card File Command Center
