The MYOB Premier Accounting Restore command closes the company file you're currently using, decompresses an Premier Accounting backup file so you can use it, and opens the decompressed file. If you want, you can use other software programs, such as PKUNZIP, to decompress a backup instead of using the Restore command. Many other popular decompression programs will also restore your backup files.
Restoring backed-up company files requires single-user access to the company file; in other words, only one person can use a company file during the backup process. Anyone else using the company file will have to close it -- either by exiting Premier Accounting or by opening a different company file -- before the backup can continue. To see which users currently have the company file open, choose Active Workstations from the File menu.
