Expanded VAT code field
VAT codes can now be created with up to 5 characters in length. If your business is in a state that has multiple tax jurisdictions and authorities or need to create tax codes for multiple states, you can now use up to 5 characters. You can also create codes that are more descriptive and recognizable.
To create a VAT code

Go to the
Lists
menu and choose
VAT
Codes
. A list of VAT codes appears.

Click
New
. The
VAT
Code Information
window appears.

In the
VAT
Code
field, type a code (up to 5 characters) for the new VAT code and press
Tab
.

Complete the other fields in this window.

Click OK. The new VAT code you created will now appear in your VAT codes list.
