Tax Point Date
A Tax Point Date has been added to several windows and reports for calculating the VAT returns using Making Tax Digital. Any transaction dated April 1, 2018 or later requires a Tax Point Date. This date will default to the transaction date unless changed.
During the upgrade process, any transaction dated after April 1, 2018 will have a Tax Point Date added to the transaction that will be the same as the transaction date. Be sure the Tax Point Date is correct, this date is used to calculate the amount of sales and purchases when reporting VAT to the HMRC.
