Step 5: Cutting the check
After you have run the sales tax reports to be sure that your taxes collected are correct and in balance, its time to report and pay your sales tax. Contact your tax authority to get the form that you will need to fill out. Use the amounts in your sales tax reports to enter the appropriate amounts.
To record a check

Go to the Banking command center and click Spend Money.

Select the Pay from Account.

Enter the card and the amount of the check.

Enter what the check is for in the Memo field for future reference.

In the Account field, enter the liability account you used when collecting the sales tax.

[Optional] Enter the Job, Dept and a Memo, if applicable.
7
Click Record.
