Overview
Items Register window

The Items Register allows you to view an overall picture of your inventory movement; an accountant may refer to it as an inventory audit trail. Using just one window, you can quickly and efficiently look at a list of transactions and view a running balance of the quantity and value of one of your inventoried items. (An inventoried item is an item for which you selected I Inventory This Item in the Item Information window.) Using this window, you can also view a list of all transactions for all of your inventoried items, if you choose.

Transactions entered in the Enter Sales -- Invoice, Enter Purchases -- Bill, Adjust Inventory and Transfer Inventory windows appear in the window. Click the zoom arrow next to the transaction to open the window in which the transaction was originally created.

When the transaction is displayed, if you have a changeable company file, you can change the transaction or you can choose to delete the transaction. If your company file is unchangeable, you can reverse the transaction.

Also, with the Items Register window displayed, you can open and enter transactions in the Transfer Inventory window and the Adjust Inventory window.
