Account
Select the checking account you want to use to write the refund check.
Balance
This field displays the current balance of the checking account displayed in the upper left corner of the window. If you wish to display the Account view of the Find Transactions window to view more detailed information about the checking account, click the zoom arrow.
Check #
The next available check number for the account you've selected is displayed in this field. If you wish to use a different check number, enter that number here.
Date
Enter the date of the check. Select the space bar if you'd like to enter a date using AccountEdge's Calendar window.
Amount
Enter the total amount of the check, or accept the default amount, which is the entire amount of the customer credit. If you choose to change the default amount, you can enter an amount less than the default amount only.
Customer
This field displays the name of the customer whose customer credit you selected in the Sales Register window. This name can't be changed using this window; however, if you wish to view detailed information about the customer, click the zoom arrow to display the Profile view of the Card Information window.
Payee
The customer name and address (Address 1, if you've entered multiple addresses for the customer) appears in this field. If you wish to use another address, click the search button to choose from the five addresses available for the card.
Memo
Enter a description of the transaction or accept the default description. This description will appear on various AccountEdge reports, as well as the Cash Disbursements Journal.
Already Printed
Mark this selection if you don't plan to print this check using AccountEdge.
Exchange Rate button
This button displays the currency that is used for the transaction. Click the button to open the Exchange Rate window.
Print button
Click this button to print the refund check.
Journal button
Click this button to open the Disbursements view of the Transaction Journal window. Recorded transactions can be found using this window.
Record button
Click this button to record the refund check. The balance of the checking account displayed in the upper left corner of the window will be decreased by the amount you entered in the Amount field.
Cancel button
Click this button to remove all the entries you've made and close the window.
