Customer Name
In this field, enter the name of the customer for whom you want to enter the historical sale.
Balance
This field displays the current receivables account balance for the customer.
Terms
In this field, the credit terms entered in the Selling Details view of the Card Information window for the customer are displayed. If you wish to change the terms for this sale only, click the arrow to open the Credit Terms window and make changes or additions.
Invoice #
When you begin to create a transaction in this window, this field will automatically display the next available invoice number which will become the actual transaction number when it's recorded into the company file. This ensures that two or more users won't create transactions with the same transaction number at the same time.
Date
Enter a date for the transaction.
Customer PO #
In this field, enter the customer's purchase order number.
Memo
Enter a memo for the transaction. If you leave the words that are entered automatically, the memo will help identify the transaction in the Transaction journal.
Total Including Tax
Enter the total remaining amount due for the sale, including tax (not the original amount of the sale).
Tax Code
Select the tax code that applies to the sale.
Tax
Based on the amount you entered in the Total Including Tax field and the Tax Code you selected, the calculated tax portion of the total appears here.
Currency button
This button displays the currency that is used for the transaction. Click the button to open the Exchange Rate window.
Category
Select from the list the category to which you wish to assign this transaction. (The categories in this list were created in the Edit Category window).
Record button
Click this button to record the historical sale transaction you've made in this window.
Cancel button
Click this button to leave this window.
