When you record Receive Money or Receive Payments transactions in the undeposited funds account, the individual cash-receipts transactions are posted to the undeposited funds account. These transactions are not directly posted to your bank or credit card accounts.
Note: Choose Group with Undeposited Funds for customer credit card payments and credits
When you group payments of undeposited funds, a single bank deposit transaction will appear on your bank statement. This one transaction combines all of the payment transactions that you grouped in the deposit.
After you've grouped all of the Receive Money and Receive Payments transactions you need, you can make a bank deposit that includes the group of transactions you select.
The account that you choose for your linked account for undeposited funds must be a Bank account type. (Account types)
Note: The linked account for undeposited funds must be a local currency account
To enter adjustments to deposits
Click the Deposit Adjustment button in the Prepare Bank Deposit window to open the Bank and Deposit Adjustments window. Use this window to enter and record adjustments to deposits. You may use the this window, for example, to enter fees changed by your credit card processor -- fees that are deducted before the bank deposit is made. You may also use this window if, instead of depositing the total amount of a deposit, you keep part of the deposit as cash.
Enter an amount in the Adjustment for Excess Funds section, if you have a situation where the amount of the deposit made by the bank is higher than the total of the deposit amount in AccountEdge.
The adjustment transaction will appear in the Prepare Bank Deposit window.
Note: If you sort transactions by payment method
The transaction will be automatically included in the bank deposit; that is, the Deposit column in the Prepare Bank Deposit window will be marked.
