Payroll Categories
The Payroll Categories option opens the Payroll Category List window, where you can view lists of the wages, deductions, employer expenses and taxes in the MYOB AccountEdge system. You can also open other windows using this window that allow you to create new wages, deductions, employer expenses and taxes and edit existing ones.
Enter Timesheet
The Enter Timesheet option opens the Enter Timesheets window.
If you did not select the System preference to use Timesheets, the Timesheet window is not available. When you click this option, an alert message informs you of this and gives you access to the Preferences window, where you can mark the Timesheets preference, if you wish.
Process Payroll
The Process Payroll option opens the Process Payroll Assistant. The four windows in the Assistant guide you through creating payroll transactions for your employees. You'll use it to record payroll transactions for one or more employees based upon the employees' pay frequency. That is, if you pay employees weekly, you can create weekly payroll transactions for them by completing the four-step Process Payroll Assistant. If you have other employees who are paid monthly, you'll complete the four-step assistant process at another time to create monthly payroll transactions.
Pay Liabilities
The Pay Liabilities option opens the Pay Liabilities window, where you can display a list of accrued payroll liabilities for a selected period, select the payments you want to make and record them.
Prepare Electronic Payments
The Electronic Payments option is available only if you subscribe to the MYOB Business Services for Direct Deposit and Vendor Payments. Click this selection to learn more about these services.
The Prepare Electronic Payments option allows you to open the Prepare Electronic Payments window, where you can create an electronic file containing payments you've recorded in the Pay Employees, Pay Bills or Spend Money windows. Once the file has been created, you can transmit it to your bank electronically or via a diskette.

Print Paychecks
The Print Paychecks option opens the Review Checks Before Printing window, where you can choose to print the paychecks created using the Process Payroll Assistant, as well as the checks you've created in the Spend Money, Settle Returns & Credits and Pay Bills windows . Using this window, you can also open a window where you can customize the printed checks so they look like the checks you use.
Prepare Payroll Tax Forms (OS9: Print W-2s and W-3)
The Prepare Payroll Tax Forms option opens the Select Payroll Tax Forms window, where you can select a new or saved version of the W-2 form for preparation and printing. From the Select Payroll Tax Forms window, you can also select W-3 forms for preparation and printing.
Transaction Journal
The Transaction Journal option allows you to open the Transaction Journal window, where you can view information about all transactions you've entered in the AccountEdge system, for all journals. From the Transaction Journal window, you can also "zoom" to the original window in which transactions were entered.

To Do List
Use the To Do List option to open the To Do List window, where you can view the business tasks that affect your company on a regular basis. You can also use the To Do List to automatically act upon the tasks you need to perform, such as creating purchases for items whose quantities are low.
When you select the To Do List option, the task that is related to the command center you're using will be displayed. If you want to display a different task, click and hold down the mouse button; a list of tasks to choose from will appear.
Find Transactions
Use the Find Transactions option to open the Find Transactions window, where you can view summary information about each of your company's account, invoice, bill, card, item, payroll and job information. This window also allows you to zoom to the windows in which the individual items were entered.
When you select the Find Transactions option, the view for the type of transaction that is related to the command center you're using will be displayed. If you want to display a different type of transaction, click and hold down the mouse button; a list of transaction types to choose from will appear.
Reports
Use the Reports option to open the Index to Reports window. You can use this window to print virtually all of the reports available with AccountEdge; you also can display these reports on your computer screen if you like. Using selections in the Index to Reports window, you can customize your reports or export them to Microsoft Excel using the MYOB OfficeLink feature.
When you select the Reports option, reports related to the command center you're using will be displayed. If you want to display a different type of report, click and hold down the mouse button; a list of report types to choose from will appear.
Analysis
Use the Analysis option to open windows that allow you to analyze a number of key aspects of your business. For example, you can analyze sales and profitability trends, estimate short-term cash needs and chart your progress on jobs. You also can see which accounts in your accounts list have the highest balances, which customers owe you money, and other information that can help you to make informed business decisions. Many Analyze windows allow you to view your company's information in table form or in graphical form, as pie charts or bar graphs.
When you select the Analysis option, analysis reporting that is related to the command center you're using will be displayed. If you want to display a different type of analysis, click and hold down the mouse button; a list of analysis reports to choose from will appear.
