Including activity slips hours on timesheets
You can pay your employees using the hours recorded on hourly activity slips. When you create your activity slips, you'll indicate that you want the hours on the activity slip to be included in your employee's timesheet.
You can link activity slips with an employee payment, if the following criteria are met:
Note: If you want to pay a salaried employee exclusively from activity slips
- The preference I Use Timesheets for... found on the Preferences window - System view must be marked and the choice for the use of timesheets must be Time Billing and Payroll.
- An employee card must be entered in the Enter Activity Slip window.
- The activity selected must be an hourly activity (chargeable or non-chargeable).
Note: Use non-chargeable hourly activities if you use activity slips only to pay employees. That is, if you don't use activity slips for invoicing, you can use non-chargeable hourly activities to record hours for employees' payroll transactions.
- The Include Hours on Timesheet box on the activity slip must be marked, and an hourly wages payroll category linked to the employee card must be selected in the Payroll Category field.
Note: The Units you enter in an activity slip appear as Hours in a timesheet. The Hours you enter in a timesheet appear as Units in an activity.
