To receive a warning when a customer exceeds the credit limit
The Preferences window - Sales view should be displayed.
- Mark the If Credit Limit is Exceeded on Invoice, Warn and Continue or Prevent Unless Overridden preference.
- Select:
- Warn and Continue if you want an alert message to inform you that the customer's credit limit has been exceeded or that the sale you are entering will exceed the limit. You can choose to continue with the sale or cancel it.
- Prevent Unless Overridden if you want the Credit Limit Override window to display information about the invoice and the customer's credit status. (You cannot continue with the sale unless you are authorized to do so and can enter the Override Password.)
Create a Credit Limit Override password that you can provide to MYOB AccountEdge users who should have the ability to override the block and record an invoice for a customer over its limit. (To set a Credit Limit Override password)
- Click the OK button.
