Blocking a sale or receiving a warning if a customer's credit limit is exceeded


 

If a customer exceeds the credit limit that you have set, you can choose to receive an alert message when you enter a new invoice.

When the alert message appears

If the customer already exceeded the credit limit, the alert message appears when you select the customer card. If the limit was not yet reached, but is passed with the amount you enter in the current invoice, the alert message appears when you try to record the invoice.

How to choose the alert message

Mark the If Credit Limit is Exceeded on Invoice, Warn and Continue or Prevent Unless Overridden preference in the Preferences window - Sales view. Then choose the kind of alert message you want:

This selection affects all customers for whom you set a credit limit.
