After you've finished setting up Forms W-2 and W-3, you'll have a chance to view, edit and finalize your W-2 and W-3 forms, and the related notices and reports, before you start to print or eFile them. You can access all of the features needed to edit and add to information on Forms W-2 and W-3 through three windows in the Payroll Tax Forms program.
Note: Changes you make here do not affect the data in your company file
W-2 Preparer window
The W-2 Preparer window displays data for all W-2 forms in a grid format that resembles a spreadsheet. Each column in the grid displays data in a single field on the W-2 for all employees. Each row in the grid displays the data in each field for an individual employee. You can type directly into this display to edit amounts in specific fields of individual W-2s.
If the Premier Accounting Payroll Tax Forms program can't calculate data for a required field on Form W-2, the column in the W-2 Preparer window that corresponds to that field will be highlighted with red. You can use the features in the grid area of the W-2 Preparer window to insert the correct data into these fields, to move and hide columns of data, and to copy, cut and paste data to and from columns in the display. The changes you make in the W-2 Preparer window don't affect the information in your company file.
Note: Some columns are located in the left pane of the W-2 Preparer window
Payroll Tax Form Viewer
Use the Payroll Form Viewer to edit information in fields on individual W-2 forms before printing or eFiling the forms. This window displays images of your official printed forms. If you prepare W-2 forms for several employees, each employee's W-2 will appear on a separate page in this window.
Fields that don't contain the required information will be highlighted in red on each form. Use the options on the Payroll Tax Form Viewer to add information to these fields.
Note: You can't eFile or print certified copies of any form until you've entered all required information
