To handle a sale when a customer is on credit hold
If you see an alert message informing you the customer is on credit hold when you enter a new sale, you have two options for handling the sale. (See Handling a sale to a customer who has been placed on credit hold to understand why the message appears)
- Cancel the sale because you do not have access to the Credit Limit and Hold window or you do not want to record the sale because of the credit limit status. Click the Cancel Sale button.
-- OR --
- Remove the Credit Hold and continue with the sale (an option only if you have access to the Credit Limit and Hold window).
- Open the Credit Limit and Hold window. (The message provides directions to the window.)
- Remove the mark from the Place this customer on Credit Hold field and click the OK button.
- Return to the Sales window, where you can resume entering the sale and record the sale.
