To set a password for the Administrator user ID

Start your AccountEdge software and click Open your company file in the welcome window that appears.

From the Command Centre go to Setup then Preferences. The Preferences window appears.

Click the Security tab.

Click the User IDs button. The User Access window appears.

Select the Administrator password and Edit to create a New Password for the Administrator access. You can enter up to 11 alpha-numeric characters including special characters such as @!&$+.

In the Change Password window, enter the password in both the New Password and Confirm Password fields.

Click Record.

Click OK.
